Missandyd now @ Fawn

Yesterday I went and attended the ribbon cutting of the cutest little boutique...in downtown Sanford!!! Fawn is the name and uniqueness is their game. Its a blend of modern and designer clothing, gear, gifts and accessories for baby, kid, mom and expecting moms. This is just what Sanford needs...and mommies too. I am super excited to have missandyd headbands and accessories for sale {at} Fawn. If your local totally stop in and check it out on the corner of Pallmetto and 1st street. I just want you all to know that I AM still here. I have been busy as of late and haven't had time to update you all on what is going on. In short I have been trying to keep up with my orders at Cottage Industry, traveling, getting ready for races and being a mom and a wife.

I just put up some new headbands in my little store. So please check them out. I promise to be better about my online presence...its just so hard when its so nice outside! I am going out of town again but will be back soon with more cute fabric and a new little project I've been working on.

Missandyd Handmade now at Cottage Industry!!

I am super excited to be selling missandyd handmade things at Cottage Industry, a local co-op boutique. Everything in there is made by amazing local designers and artists. You can find anything from jewelry to pottery and handbags to headbands! It also shares its space with a hip tea cafe. So sip your tea and shop at the same time, its great! If your local come visit it is located at 1600 Edgewater Dr. Orlando FL in the College Park area.

Playground Music and Arts Festival 2009

Well it has come and gone. Tracey, Jamie, Emily and I had a lot of fun setting up shop and hanging out at Lake Eola. It was a hit! And I have to say our tent looked awesome! Now that it is over I can concentrate on my new baby headbands! They are so stinkin cute check back in a few days and I will have pictures up and they will be for sale at my shop(click here).

I have been having so much fun setting up shoppe at The Sanford Farmers Market lately. The most recent one was last Saturday and it was windy and warm but great! I will be setting up shoppe on April 26th at the Playground Music and Arts Fest in Lake Eola which will be tons of fun!

Playground, a central Florida parenting magazine, featured the city of Sanford in their spring issue. They visited the Sanford Farmers Market and that's where I was introduced by my friend Tracey to Heather the founder of Playground Magazine. She was so nice and invited me to share my headbands and peony clips in the magazine! I just got the magazine the other day and was so excited to see my little claim to fame on page 57!

Horray for Clippies

For little girls and big girls these cute little clips are the perfect accessory. I love the peonies on clips! I covered these alligator clips with cute chartreuse grosgrain ribbon then hand sewed the peony onto the clip also glued it for extra stay-on-ness.

This 'cute as a button' barrette is a bend and snap clip that is covered with some cute polka dot Easter like ribbon. Then for added cuteness these brown buttons...Love it.

These springy flowers are perfect for any season. They make me happy just looking at them...sigh. These bend and snap clips are covered with chartreuse grosgrain ribbon and then flowers are added on for the final touch. TaDa!!

Peony Pony

I love Peonies! Even better I love them in my hair. These little flowers are carefully molded and sewn into layers of petals. Handsewn onto an 'ouchless' rubberband and finished with three french knots or cute buttons (let me know your preference). The small peonies have about three petals and are about 1 1/2 inches in diameter. The large have about five petals and are about 3 inches in diameter. I like to choose rubberbands that closely match the flower color or that are different but compliment the color of the flower.
